The company, also known as Grupo EDIFA, is engaged in the wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical goods and other related products. The company was founded in May of 1995 and has its registered office in Algete, Spain. In 1997, it finally acquired a building property, in addition to its commercial offices and a warehouse which allows the company to store and deliver its major products. The company covers an area of approximately 6,700 square meters. It comprises 16 pharmaceutical distribution companies operating in Aragonesa, Conquense, Gallega, Leonesa, de Salmanca, Menorquina, de Ciudad Real, Andaluza, Vascongada, de Melilla, de Gibraltar, Guipuzcoana, de La Rioja, de Zamora y Valladolid, de Avilla, and Talaverano. The Talaverano branch is run by the subsidiary Centro Cooperativo Farmaceutico Talaverano. The company's products represents approximately 16 percent in the Spanish pharmaceutical market. Although the initial objective of the company was to constitute itself in the field of central purchasing operation, the company later on developed its business to by penetrating into the international market.
